Dr. Prashant Tejwani earned his MBBS degree from Indore Medical College and completed his M.S. in Orthopedics from SMS Medical College, Jaipur, in April 2000. He gained a year of hands-on experience at Udai Clinic, Hyderabad, under the mentorship of Dr. Ved Prakash and Dr. Raghav Dutt, focusing on trauma and sports medicine. Subsequently, he joined Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences as a registrar, where he served for three years. His passion for academics and teaching led him to continue at the institute, eventually being appointed as an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedics.
Dr. Tejwani further honed his expertise in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgeries by attending foundational and advanced courses at prestigious institutes in India and abroad. To expand his skill set, he trained for six weeks in Liverpool, UK, visiting various institutes to learn advanced techniques that he could implement to benefit his patients in India. He also received specialized training in arthroscopic surgeries from renowned experts such as Dr. Anant Joshi (Mumbai), Dr. Bharat Modi (Baroda), and Dr. David Rajan (Coimbatore).
Over the years, Dr. Tejwani has participated in numerous Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs and symposiums on arthroscopy organized by the Indian Arthroscopy Society and the India-European Arthroscopy Foundation. He has presented his work at various regional, national, and international conferences. Additionally, he has conducted CMEs on upper limb trauma at SPARSH Hospital. Committed to community health, he has organized bone health camps and led osteoporosis awareness initiatives at institutions such as 3M, Novozyme, and Sensura.
